Italian Festival Set for September 27 & 28

The 16th Annual Italian Festival will be held on September 27 and 28 at Seattle Center. The event is being held as part of Seattle Center's FESTÁL series of cultural festivals.

This year's festival features Nick Stellino, TV Chef and popular host of "Nick Stellino's Family Kitchen" on public television, as the featured Celebrity Chef. Additional enterntainment including a film festival, exhibits, performances, enticing not-for-children-only activities and the infamous "Bolla Grape Stomp" contest draws visitors from all over.

In addition to the festival itself, a number of other events are scheduled during the preceding week, including:

  •  Sunday, September 21. Traditional Mass in Italian at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Virgin Church, 1531 Bradner Place South, Seattle. Free reception to follow.
  •  Wednesday, September 24. The Italian Club presents The Festa Italiana Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel. This event features presentation of the Gill Centioli Memorial Award to an outstanding local Italian-American.
  •  Friday, September 26. "Taste of Italy" Wine Tasting & Opening Reception
    at 7:00 p.m. at Seattle Center. This event will feature great wine, antipasto and live music.
